Monstera Chunky Cardigan PDF pattern

The Monstera Cardigan is knit using 12- and 10-mm needles from the top down. First the back is knit until your reach the underarm where the stitches will be put on hold. The first front panel stitches are then picked up and knitted until the same point and put onto hold also. This is then repeated for the second front panel and then all three parts are joined, under arm stitches are cast on the cardigan is then knitted as a single piece.

The cardigan uses four stitches: Stockinette stitch, Moss stitch, Bubble stitch and 1 x 1 ribbing so you should be familiar with knit and purl techniques. It is recommended that this is not a first project but if you’ve made basic garments, this is a great dip into more advanced techniques.  If you require additional guidance, please see the notes section at the end of the pattern.

The cardigan is designed to have a positive ease of ~20 cm. The pattern includes instructions for three lengths: petite, medium and tall. Customisable length instructions are given in the notes section at the end of the pattern.
